The Davis Estates Vineyard in Calistoga, California is committed to a sustainable growing grounds and in doing so, converted a previously unusable slope to generate solar power for the ranch. The rocky slope was laden with tree stumps, roots and fractured rhyolite rock. Non the less, 80 screws were installed in one day utilizing a crew of three experienced installers. The array is sited in such a way as to not detract from the view axis of the winery yet, clearly highlights The Davis Estates value for renewable energy.

There is no question that prize black angus cattle ranching requires a fair amount of water to irrigate the grass that feeds the livestock. However, we do not need to use diesel powered generators to power the pumps bringing the water to the fields. Pumps utilize a tremendous of amount of energy and photovoltaic ground mounts solve the problems generators create. Groundscrews provide sturdy and durable anchoring for signage of any size or weight. Once they are screwed in, which can take only minutes, the infrastructure can be attached immediately, unlike concrete that can take hours or longer to dry. EFS teams can install Groundscrews in the most punishing terrain or soil conditions without the need for concrete, digging, or dirt removal. Plumb and level is maintained by levels attached to installation equipment. Accuracy to a few millimeters can be achieved using laser levels. Additionally, the screw depth can be adjusted to minimize dampness and rot to extend the life of metal or wooden post materials.
